“My name is Marcel Glenn. I am a known graphic designer and I create Digital Art. Otherwise known as Celmation Design (celmationdesign.com). I've worked in the graphic design industry for many years, and noticed how us, as Black people, were sometimes misrepresented or generalized and I started to use graphic elements, design theories and combine them with my love for illustrating and painting. Combining both, I then started to develop an art style and highlight characters, portraits or even make political statements through art. My mission (being of Jamaican and Nigerian descent) is to show African, Jamaican, Black culture with a different aesthetic and ensure we're not looked at as monoliths.”
