“My multidisciplinary artwork in painting, encaustic, photography, printmaking and sculpture is centered on the natural world, both the corporeal, such as birds and animals, as well intangibles. My creative sensibilities and stimuli are owed in part to growing up in the Pacific Northwest surrounded by the fresh and salt waters, majestic mountains and old growth forests, in addition to the years spent in the Bay area. My artwork has always focused on the balance of opposites and patterning to order our complicated world, revealing humans’ desire to connect to nature and each other, even in a time when it feels difficult to be part of the whole.”
