“I am a graphic artist and screen printer who works out of Open Studio, Toronto. I have submitted a series of black acrylic screen prints on Japanese paper, which I printed at Open Studio between June 2023 and May 2024. The Palingenesis prints depict the resurrection of a flower and a dragonfly from their calcined ashes, a motif I developed from 17th-century science.”

Daniel Etigson is a freelance editor and artist member of Open Studio, Toronto, where he specializes in screen printing. He’s currently working on a long form illustrated, narrative book, entitled The Blazing Universe, which explores contemporary issues surrounding disability and invisible illness through the visual culture of the scientific revolution.
