Green; Yellow

by Matt Furman

“My acrylic and oil paintings blend the worlds of surrealism, pop art and street graffiti. From growing up in New York, the works of artists like Ron English, Kenny Scarf and Takashi Murakami have inspired my style to develop into its own world portraying daily emotions people can relate to. I am constantly motivated to expand my style by making the patterns and shapes either more intertwined or simplified depending on the emotions I’m feeling at the time of creating. My intent is for the viewer to see multiple different combinations of faces displaying emotions.”
