Tierno; Effulgence; Plums

by William Creel

Currently, I express myself through 2D digital animation, painting, and photography, all of which evolved from my early passion for illustration and comics. While my arsenal of media is wide, they typically bleed into one another through interdisciplinary opportunities of mix-media. My artistic methods have given me the power to explore my identity with full authenticity. The stories I tell pay homage to my past; my work includes religious imagery contrasted by queer themes of androgyny and flamboyancy.”

William Creel is a painting major at the Maryland Institute of Art, concentrating in figurative anatomical work with a specific interest in self-portraiture. They continue to utilize art to light a path towards self-exploration and acceptance.
