Portraits of Marlene Dietrich and Bette Davis

by Eric Berardis

“I am a professional artist and performer based out of Providence, Rhode Island. I have been published by The Easton Press and Shoreline Magazine. A former academic, specializing in Gothic Literature, I am a self-taught artist dealing in (primarily) soft pastel and charcoal artwork. I enjoy creating, portraits, fantasy worlds and pieces, and illustrating some of my favorite authors of yesteryear (such as H.P. Lovecraft, Edgar Allan Poe, et al.). The color pieces submitted here are 11x14” soft pastel works; the black and white pieces are 9x12” formed with charcoal. I am currently designing a website for my full portfolio, but for those curious, my Facebook page, dedicated solely to my physical art, is The Dark Lady of R’lyeh.”
